St. Thomas dry dock refloating

A commercial dry dock dragged its moorings during hurricane Irma and sank alongside the cruise ship pier in St. Thomas, blocking the dock access for cruise ships. Resolve Marine Group mobilized the Conquest MB1, from Louisiana to the site along with a specialized salvage team, heavy rigging and salvage equipment.

Initially, hurricane Maria forced the salvage crew out of the area before they could complete the job, but the 450t, drydock was successfully raised and returned to the local shipyard.

The harbor clearance project enabled the resumption of cruise ship traffic to the port and the restart of the vital tourist industry to the island.
