► Heavy Lift Barges & DP2 Vessels

Deploy floating heavy-lift capacity anywhere at sea.

When your project demands serious crane capacity on the water, our fleet of heavy lift barges and DP2 vessels delivers. From the 1400-ton Conquest MB1 crane barge to our versatile DP2 multipurpose vessels with up to 300-ton crane capacity, we provide the floating assets to execute heavy lifts, subsea operations, and offshore logistics campaigns under full operational control.

Floating power. Unmatched versatility.

Our heavy lift barges and DP2 vessels are purpose-equipped for demanding offshore and nearshore operations. By combining large deck space, heavy crane capacity, and dynamic positioning, you gain:

► Massive Lifting Capacity on Water:
Execute heavy lifts up to 1,400 tons directly from the vessel, eliminating the need for costly port infrastructure or jack-up spreads.

► Dynamic Positioning for Precision Work:
Our DP2 vessels maintain exact station-keeping during critical subsea operations, pile installations, and offshore wind support campaigns.

► Enormous Deck Space & Load Capacity:
Up to 3,400 m² of usable deck space and 10,000+ mT loading capacity for large-scale cargo transport, equipment staging, and float-over operations.

Four ways Heavy Lift Barges & DP2 Vessels drive offshore project success

►Offshore Wind Farm Construction & Support

Deploy heavy lift barges for monopile, transition piece, and turbine component installation. Our DP2 vessels provide precise crane support and deck logistics throughout the campaign.

►Subsea Construction & Pipeline Support

Utilize DP2 station-keeping for accurate subsea positioning during pipeline lay support, mattress installation, rock dumping, and subsea structure placement.

►Decommissioning & Salvage Operations

Remove heavy platform topsides, jackets, and subsea infrastructure with our 1,400-ton crane barge. Combined with grab cranes on our DP2 vessels, we handle the full decommissioning scope from heavy lifts to debris clearance.

►Heavy Cargo Transport & Float-Over Operations

Leverage massive deck strength (up to 20 mT/m²) and loading capacity for transporting oversized structures, modules, and equipment between ports and offshore locations.

Configure your floating crane solution

Our barges and DP2 vessels are modular platforms, ready to be equipped with the exact crane configuration your project demands.

►Heavy Crawler Cranes (70T – 1000T)

Mount our offshore crawler cranes directly onto barges and DP2 vessels for heavy lifting, grab operations, dredging, and decommissioning campaigns.

►C-Spider Compact Cranes (6T – 30T)

Deploy our C-Spider compact cranes for manriding, under-platform inspection, auxiliary lifting, and turbine maintenance on any vessel in the fleet.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is the maximum lifting capacity available on your barges and vessels?

Our Conquest MB1 crane barge offers up to 1,400 mT main crane capacity at 12.5 m radius, suitable for the heaviest offshore lifts. Our DP2 vessels can be configured with offshore crawler cranes from 100t up to 300t capacity from our crawler crane fleet, such as the Sennebogen 6300 HD or 7700.

2. Can offshore crawler cranes be mobilized onto your barges and DP2 vessels?

Yes. We regularly integrate our heavy offshore crawler cranes (up to 1000T) onto our barges and DP2 vessels. We design and install custom load-spreading grillage and provide full engineering support for safe deck integration. For lighter operations, our C-Spider compact cranes can also be deployed on these vessels for manriding and auxiliary lifting.

3. Which vessel is the best fit for my project?

All our multipurpose vessels are DP2, so the choice comes down to your project’s priorities:

► Eems Dundee, Duisburg and Dover: our versatile workhorses, with 15 t/m² tanktop strength and crane configurations from 100t up to 300t. Ideal for subsea construction, grab operations and multi-vessel campaigns.
► Jaguar: the same specifications, but with a service speed of 12 knots. The best option for time-critical campaigns or locations further offshore.
► Eems Dublin: our deep-draft heavy hauler, with 6,750 mts cargo capacity and a self-loading Multidocker crane. Best suited for transporting large volumes of project cargo.

Not sure which vessel suits your scope? Share your project details and we’ll advise you on the best fit.

4. What types of grab and dredging operations can your vessels perform?

Our DP2 vessels are equipped with heavy duty cycle grab cranes (such as the Sennebogen 6220 E or 6300 HD) for rock dumping, stone installation, dredging support, debris clearance, and subsea excavation. The Conquest MB1 crane barge can also support grab operations with its 30-90 mT runner hoist.

5. How quickly can a barge or vessel be mobilized for my project?

Mobilization timelines depend on the vessel and crane configuration required. From our strategic yard in Amsterdam, standard configurations can typically be mobilized within days. Complex integrations with heavy crawler cranes require additional engineering, grillage design, and MWS approval, which can take several weeks.

6. What deck strength and space is available for equipment staging?

The Conquest MB1 offers 20 mT/m² deck strength with 3,400 m² of usable deck space, ideal for heavy crawler crane mobilization and equipment staging. Our DP2 Eems-class vessels provide up to 15 t/m² tanktop strength, with two cargo holds: Hold 1 of 80.00 × 12.00 m and Hold 2 of 62.30 × 11.50 m, suitable for heavy modules and project cargo.

7. Do you provide crew for your barges and vessels?

We offer both bare vessel charter and fully crewed solutions. Our crew pool includes experienced barge masters, Stage 3 certified crane operators, riggers, mechanics, and deck crew. For projects requiring compact crane operations, we also provide trained C-Spider operators.

8. Can you support Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) reviews for barge and vessel operations?

Yes. We provide full engineering documentation including structural calculations, lift plans, load-spreading grillage designs, risk assessments, and method statements. Our equipment has a proven track record of MWS acceptance across major offshore campaigns.

9. Can your vessels handle offshore wind farm installation and support?

Absolutely. Our Conquest MB1 with 1,400 mT crane capacity is proven for monopile and transition piece installation. For ongoing wind farm maintenance and support, our DP2 vessels equipped with crawler cranes or C-Spider compact cranes provide flexible solutions for turbine maintenance, cable work, and scour protection.

10. What makes your barge and vessel solutions different from a dedicated crane vessel?

Our modular approach gives you flexibility that a fixed crane vessel cannot. Instead of chartering an expensive dedicated crane vessel, we configure our barges and DP2 vessels with the exact crane capacity your project needs, from a 70-ton Sennebogen 673 for auxiliary work to a 1000-ton Liebherr LR 11000 for ultra-heavy lifts. Combined with 24/7 service, offshore-certified crew, and full engineering support, you get a tailored floating crane solution at a competitive rate.
